My Universe

Astrophysicists say they don’t know how big the universe is,

But I know the answer.

My universe is a winter’s chilly breath.

Red curtains and black bed frame,

my feet squashed under the weight of 2 snuggled dogs,

Wrapped in matching pyjamas.

My universe is a black cat kneading my pillow,

my ear on my lover’s chest,

The rise and fall with their breath.

What more could be out there that’s worth more than the happiness I experience every morning?
